Can you drink protien shakes and creatine when you are trying to lose weight?

I was wondering if its ok to drink protien shakes or creatine when you’re trying to lose weight. I lift weights and then run 2 miles every day, and i normally eat a turkey sandwich after im done. Could i replace the turkey sandwich with protien shakes or creatine or will that cause me to gain weight?

    I drink protein shakes during a weight cut and that is fine to supplement for some post workout meals. But as far as creatine, it depends on your body’s sodium level and whether or not the creatine is a monohydrate. A creatine monohydrate will hold water weight on you, especially if you have a high sodium intake and your body is used to having a large amount of water to counteract the sodium in your body. But if you take an Ethyl Ester creatine and have a low sodium intake, you shouldn’t have to worry about your body holding water due to the creatine.

    Yes but only eat the protein shake as a meal replacement or after the gym and for the creatine i would only drink for before my workout.

    Protein is good for you no matter if your goal is to lose,gain,or maintain.
