Is it okay for a 12 year old to start body building?

I’ve been hearing its not good to body build at a young age that you should start at 16 or 17 but I want to know is this true.

    Yes, this is true.
    Your body is not yet properly developed and this can lead to damages.

    It’s fine. The only thing to be worried about is injuring yourself, so a 12 year old needs perfect form. And lifting really light weights is not embarrassing, their are adults who struggle to lift the bar.

    That’s ture. Children at this age are still in the developmental stages, are not fully mature. Body building is not right for them.

    It’s fine. There’s a huge number of people who started lifting weights at your age and are perfectly fine. There’s *never* been a study showing that lifting weights at a young age causes any kind of problems. All the people who say it’s dangerous are just parroting what they’ve heard elsewhere.

    yes! i am 11 and ive been workout for 3 months now! you just need to be carful and do mess up or you can injure your self!!!
