My breakfast: 6 egg whites and 2 yolks everyday. Comments or concerns?

Research tends to bounce back and forth with “Eggs are good for you!” to “Eggs should be limited!” What do you think?

This question is open to bodybuilders, health-nuts, vegetarians (dare I attempt to include vegans in this discussion?), average Joe Schmoe, etc. Do you feel eggs can be more beneficial depending on gender (Male or Female)? Do you think that it is even safe to eat eggs raw? (There has been many studies on this topic, although research tends to point towards eating raw eggs is NOT a safe way to eat eggs.)

Please comment and include factual research if possible.

    Eating the same thing every day no matter what it is can be bad for your health. At least every few days you should change it up a bit, your body will take in too much of certain nutrients and be deficient in others – too much of anything is not good!

    I wouldn’t do it every day cause I’d get bored but I really can’t see the problem with that many whites and people that worry about eating the yolk are just being ridiculous. They are a brilliant source of nutrition and have been linked to lower rates of heart disease, not higher.

    If you were really unhealthy and had loads of cholesterol already in your diet then yeah, maybe two a day every wouldn’t be such a smart move but as part of a balanced diet it’s fine.

    I didn’t read it fully but after skimming through it seems to back what I said. I mean the egg yolks purpose is to feed a growing embryo, surely that alone gives you some kinda idea of the benefits that have to be gained through consuming them.
