Right now im 17 5’8vand about 135. i wanted to gain muscle and bulk up a little (say around 150′s)
so one of my friends said i should strt to take weight gainer protein
and another friend said if i take it, i have to work out like crazy or all that extra protein will turn into fat. is this true?
soo now i cant decide between weight gainer or annabolic protein
Actually most extra protein is just flushed from your body the usual way, if your kidneys are functional.
The thing is about gainers, is that they also contain a lot of calories from fats and carbohydrates.
If you don’t exercise enough, your body will turn the extra calories into fat.
Proteins are not “anabolic” by themselves (i. e. they do not promote muscle mass increase) but are needed for the natural anabolic processes that follow weight training.
