probably not a good idea. wrestling shoes do not provide the ankle and arch support that you need for running.

  2. SSP Bowl Dude says:

Not recommended. Wrestling shoes do not provide proper support and cushioning for running and the soles are thin so they wouldn’t last very long on a track.

wrestling shoes may be preferable to street shoes when running but you should run in
shoes designed specially for running. jogging involves heel toe contact on the ground.
running shoes have heels designed to absorb the shock ; whereas, wrestling shoes do
    not.

It is possible to run with anything on your feet, wrestling shoes. . . high heels, ballet slippers. . . . but can you sustain running and be injury free – NO.

You need proper support in your running shoe. Invest in a decent pair.

    NO.

Get a pair of cheap running shoes at Wal-mart. $10.

Wrestling shoes have no cushion for the heel or arch (or anywhere for that matter) and provide too much rigidity and support over the ankles for efficient running. You’re going to get hurt.

Like other people have said above me, you can run in anything. But wrestling shoes are built to be on a soft mat and wrestling in them. I don’t even recommend running or jumping in them on a soft wrestling mat. Much better to run in running shoes and wrestle in wrestling shoes.

College kids when they go to top wrestling programs are issued wrestling shoes and running shoes to train in. . .

My expertise on this issue is I sell wrestling shoes for a living. . . I own http://www. wrestlinggear. com
