I have a consistent routine of 5x a week, I lift heavy(4 sets of 8 for each muscle group in proper form)and also am eating a high protein diet. thanks in advance

Monday, March 28th, 2011ok here is the story ive been bodybuilding for quite a whilenow , ive always taken protein shakes only. about a year ago i started taking purple-k from king of creatine and i took them for 2 months along with protein shakes. i stopped for a while then started taking xpand, isoflex protein shakes, glutamine powder and a multi-vitamin from gnc called gnc mega men SPORT. i took the xpand for 2 months and stopped for a month since you cannot take it all the time because its creatine. now am currently taking superpump 250 as a post work-out, no synthesize creatine during and after the workout, am also taking glutamine pills from wal-mart 4 times a day, isoflex protein shakes twice a day and gnc mega men sport(multi-vitamin). now the issue is not too long ago my family and friends have been telling that you are ive started to lose hair and they’ve told me that it started when i first started supplementing, now i do not know if its true and want to make sure that it might be possible that the supplements that am taking are causing my hair to fall. if it does i will immediately stop everything and just eat properly. Please if anyone knows the answer please get back to me ASAP!!!

Bodybuilding supplements-what they are, how they work and why are they used?
Saturday, March 26th, 2011This question is about some popular bodybuilding supplements and why they are used. I have questions on:
Weight Gainer- if protein is for growth, what are the extra calories in the form of MCTs/ carbs required for? I thought protein is all you need to grow-what’s all the other stuff for? Instead of weight gainer I use 500ml British Gatorade and 25g Whey Isolate postworkout- is it the same concept?
Creatine- I really don’t understand this. I hear creatine replaces the cell fuel ATP-however I thought cell fuel was called glycogen? Are these 2 the same thing? How do you know your ATP/glycogen is gone-wouldn’t the carbs floating around your body automatically provide energy once fuel goes? Can’t you use carbs for energy instead of creatine (if creatine is protein based then how does it provide energy).
Fat Metaboliser-Doesn’t the body naturally metabolise fat with the exercise? Why use?
Amino Acids- Broken down proteins-can’t you just use complete protein? Any special ones?
